Trash the Commonwealth Games

Just think about this :-

4000 Crores being spent for Commonwealth Games.
84 Crores for Opening Ceremony - 400 Crores for feeding [well fed] athletes..
& Now This.

Situated alongside the Yamuna, this village lacks basically every facility. It has no power, no water connection, no school and nor a government dispensary. [ this is still the state of half of Indians ]

Why are we hosting these Commonwealth Games when 20 Crore people are going to bed hungry in this country

&& 40 Crore Indians can't spell 'Commonwealth'

What are we trying to show to the world ?

The Indian Situation has become quite similar to the FALSE PRIDE and LOPSIDED PRIORITIES as practiced by Russia and the East European countries in the 60s to 80s.

>>> No Food to eat - No houses to live - but keep building Collosal stadiums, where ultimately after the Commonwealth Games, there will be Daler Mehndi Shows, and Marriage parties-

because Indian Athletes will still live in Cattle Sheds.

As Ayn Rand had written in 'Atlas Shrugged' about the irony of Russia -- '"Cosmonauts waving from the Space to the impoverished russian people living in Pig sties."

We have an exactly similar situation here.

Let us TRASH these games. STOP them.

It is a Gross WASTAGE OF NATIONAL RESOURCES.

It is a Terrible joke on the vast lot of Indians who are still living in Pre Independence like conditions.

We can still go about making our Roads better FOR Us - the people of this country

and teach the Policemen some manners WHILE DEALING WITH INDIANS.
