Stop this Annual Budget Tamasha - It is a Tamacha on the face of 50 crore Indians

INDIAN BUDGET : LIES - DAMNED LIES AND STATISTICS

The Indian Budget Presentation is round the corner and the government and the economists and statisticians are going into a frenzy, gearing up for this Grand Annual Tamasha which means a zilch for a vast majority of Indians.
The Budget is nothing but a useless talk / presentation of data and statistics about Cars and LCDs and Steel and Cement.

Hey! Mr FM!! What about the Human Beings who live in India ( Bhoola hua Bharat)? Does anyone in the Govt ever talk about the wretched humans that reside in India in sub-human conditions?

“ Our GDP will grow from 8.765439876452 to 9.2345678654”[ Applause, Applause, Applause…]
Oh My God- FM , We are so exited!!!!! This is the magic figure the poor have been biting the nails for...and now every village in India is going to transform into Las Vegas.. thanks to this 1.123456789 increase in GDP. ( Ha Ha)

“ To boost our education system we are increasing the allocation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan from 70,000 crores to 80,000 crores”[ Applause, Applause, Applause…]
Hey- wait a minute FM - Why don’t you tell us first how you have spent that 70,000 crore of SSA last year and the 50,000 crore the year before… Where has it gone??
Has is made any dent in the education level? Are the children getting mid day meals across the country- a quality similar to what you eat in the Parliament?
Have you ever gone to a govt school to see what education and what meals they are getting out of your ’70,000’ crores???

“ This year we hope to achieve an Agriculture output of 70 zillion tonnes as against 68 zillion tonnes last year.”[ Applause, Applause, Applause…]

Wait a minute FM - I think you have forgotten to tell us that out of those zillion tonnes, few million tonnes is lying in the open - rotting in the rain - while thousands of poor farmers are committing suicide / lakhs of children are dying due to malnutrition.
Has your grand budget made any plans for putting a shed over the rotting grain. Has the Supreme Court’s suggestion to give it to humans, instead of feeding it to the rats, cut any ice with you? Or still you are going to hide this terrible terrible terrible human tragedy with a magic carpet of economic mumbo jumbo.

“ We are going to increase the Ad-Valorem-GST-Import Tax on Polypropy-ethelene from 6.098098% to 6.209897%”[ Applause, Applause, Applause…]

Oh that’s terrific - Now Mukesh Ambani is going to grow richer by 7899.786 crores and add another 73 floors to his tower-Antilia to make it a century… I am so impressed… He can now choose one out of the 100 toilets of his house, in a country where half the people don’t have access to toilets.

The Bottomline is ::
THIS ANNUAL USELESS BUDGET TAMASHA MUST STOP because this is just a farcical annual chest thumping exercise. It is an insult / a joke on the 50 crore under-fed and under-read population of India who are shown a lot of ZEROs and they literally get a ZERO.
What we want instead, is a Discussion on the Human Development Index
What we want instead, is a Debate on our Corruption Index by Transperancy International.
(The budgeting exercise can be done indoors and promulgated like any other government order)
What we want is the FM and the PM and all such Ms to get out from Delhi and go to the remote corners of India and relay to us live from there about what is the state of the Humans who live in India.
We are sick of hearing those Lies - Damned Lies and Statistics about Industry, Agriculture and Education, year after year, year after year, year after year.............................................
What we really want is to know is, what those damned statistics have done for the vast majority of Indians, whose lives haven’t changed much since the time we got our independence.
Jai Hind!!

  1. Well said Sir or should I say well written Sir, its actually harrowing to know that 80 million children in India are still malnourished and do not have access to basic education and amenities, while the so called representatives of the people, by the people and for the people are leading plush luxurious cushy lives in the residences provided in the capital by the government, which incidentally once occupied is never left by them. God save the nation !!!!!
